I bring a bachelor's degree in journalism, experience as a professional proofreader and copy editor, and an intense interest in the pedagogy and science of reading to my tutoring work.

My approach is phonogram-based, connecting sounds (phonemes) to text (graphemes). Sessions are multi-sensory and include explicit, systematic instruction tailored to the student’s prior knowledge and interests.

This service is appropriate for children ages 4 to 8.
